Labour MP Dame Rosie Winterton Visits Community Pharmacy In Doncaster

On 10th May we were delighted to welcome Dame Rosie Winterton, MP for Central Doncaster, to Weldricks Pharmacy at Cantley Goodison.  Dame Rosie was really keen to hear about the Pharmacy First service so we explained how the service worked and some of the challenges with GP referrals being experienced by pharmacy teams.  We explained further the delays to digital interoperability between pharmacies and GP practices and the limited public awareness campaign support from NHS England.  Dame Rosie shared her appreciation for everything that community pharmacy teams do to support patients with their healthcare needs. A big thank you to the Weldricks Cantley Goodison team for hosting the visit on a busy and hot Friday afternoon!
