About CPSY

As the Local Pharmaceutical Committee (LPC), Community Pharmacy South Yorkshire (CPSY) represents community pharmacy contractors across South Yorkshire.

We work to ensure community pharmacy is recognised, supported and developed as a key provider of primary care—supporting pharmacies and building healthier communities.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in strengthening the position of community pharmacy within primary care across South Yorkshire.

Working directly with pharmacy contractors and their teams, you will support the delivery of high-quality clinical services while helping pharmacies adapt to new models of care and increasing expectations within the NHS.

The role sits at the interface between system ambition and frontline delivery—ensuring that community pharmacy is not only included in neighbourhood health models, but is ready, confident and capable of delivering within them.

You will focus on embedding services such as Pharmacy First and contraception services, improving performance, and supporting pharmacies to build stronger relationships with primary care partners.

What success looks like

  • Increased and more consistent delivery of commissioned services
  • Improved uptake of Pharmacy First and contraception services
  • Reduced variation in performance between pharmacies
  • Stronger working relationships with primary care partners
  • Pharmacy teams feeling confident and supported
  • Community pharmacy recognised as a reliable primary care provider

About You

You will be a practical, delivery-focused individual who is confident working with a diverse range of stakeholders.

You may come from a community pharmacy background or from an NHS commissioning or service delivery role, but you will bring a strong understanding of primary care and a genuine interest in supporting pharmacy to succeed.

You will be comfortable working independently, building relationships quickly, and supporting change in environments where you do not have direct authority.

Why Join CPSY?

You’ll play a key role in supporting pharmacies, building healthier communities, to evolve, succeed and deliver excellent care as part of the wider health system.
