Labour MP Stephanie Peacock visits Community Pharmacy in Barnsley

On Friday 2nd October, Ward Green Pharmacy welcomed Stephanie Peacock, MP for Barnsley South, for a visit joined by Community Pharmacy South Yorkshire CEO, Joanne Lane.

Discussions focused on the positive impact of community pharmacy on local residents, raising awareness of the services available and the need for adequate funding so the NHS can fully realise the benefits. They also discussed the current flu vaccination season and pharmacies’ role in helping protect local communities.

Stephanie spoke with the team about their roles in delivering high-quality patient care and saw them supporting residents with prescriptions, providing health advice and helping vulnerable patients.
