Labour MP Stephanie Peacock Visits Community Pharmacy In Barnsley

On Thursday 18th April Community Pharmacy South Yorkshire and Lo’s Pharmacy. Worsbrough were delighted to host a visit by Stephanie Peacock, MP for Barnsley East.

Steven Lo, Managing Director and Paul Mason, Superintendent Pharmacist from Lo’s Pharmacy and Vicki Roberts, Chief Officer for CPSY discussed the challenges faced by the community pharmacy sector.  They provided Stephanie with information about the fixed five-year funding settlement in the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework that has recently expired and the negotiation process for the current financial year and explained the difficulties for patients, pharmacy colleagues and GP practices with pharmacy stock shortages.

Stephanie has offered to raise some questions for us in Parliament so we will certainly be taking her up on this offer.

A big thank you to the team at Lo’s Pharmacy, Worsbrough for supporting the visit.
